About CaliTronik

CaliTroniK.com originated in January 2005 in Cartagena, Colombia, during the Ultramar Festival. A group of friends from Cali, inspired by MedellinStyle.com, decided to create an online space dedicated exclusively to the electronic music scene in Cali and its surrounding areas. The domain was registered on January 19th, marking the birth of a platform that—now, more than 20 years later—has returned stronger and more mature. It embraces a deeper focus on music, culture, and art, while never losing sight of what nourishes our souls and sets our bodies in motion: the party.

The early days of CTK were defined by trial and error—figuring out what worked and what didn’t, navigating design and development, managing public relations, and knocking on doors. In an era before social media as we know it today, online forums and photo galleries were the primary spaces and content consumed by the digital audience, fostering genuine connections and communities.

Countless individuals, brands, artists, events, media outlets, schools, record labels, shops, and other entities have played a part in the history of CTK. Names such as Real People Club, Mission Club, La X Electrónica, Radio Planeta, Dance Republick, Der Zoo, ElecTrip, Eliptica Club, Podium Club, Forum Club, Tropical Cocktails, Sector 7, Mix Masters, Da Electronic, Wonderland, and Red Electronic—among many others—helped cement CaliTroniK.com in the memories of a generation of young ravers who, today, form the foundation of the electronic music scene in Cali and the Valle del Cauca region.
